In the Well of the Wave off Kanagawa, from the series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji, is a woodblock print made by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Katsuhika Hokusai, probably in late 1831 during the Edo period of Japanese history. The print depicts three boats moving through a storm-tossed sea and Mount Fuji visible in the background.
