Charles Rennie Mackintosh Designs Coloring Book
Coloring book with staple binding featuring 22 images by Charles Rennie Mackintosh
After the architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh (Scottish, 1868–1928) and his wife, Margaret Macdonald, left the Scottish city of Glasgow and moved to London, they began painting designs for two large manufacturers of fine fabrics. Most of the pictures in this coloring book were adapted from the designs for cotton and silk cloth that Mackintosh completed with his wife’s assistance in the 1910s and 1920s. Many of them are inspired by a European style called “art nouveau.”
Coloring pages are blank on the back so they can be cut out and displayed. Suitable for adults and children to color.
