Charley Harper painted animals of all kinds in his unmistakable minimal realist style, portraying their essence with geometric shapes and vivid colors. With Mystery of the Missing Migrants, Harper commented on the disappearance of Neotropical birds from their migratory nesting sites in North American woodlands.
