Featuring twenty different quilts by thirteen female artists from the small Black community of Gee's Bend, Alabama.  Many people in this rural community are descendants of slaves who worked the fields of the local Pettway plantation for generations.  The artists of Gee's Bend have created hundreds of quilt masterpieces over the years featuring vibrant colors, geometric shapes, and organic improvised patterns.
