SAAM Recycled Graphite Pencil
Seattle Asian Art Museum exclusive pencil design by Italian brand Perpetua
A Perpetua graphite pencil is different from other pencils. It is eco friendly with 80% of graphite recovered from industrial processes. It can be sharpened, but also writes without a point. Lasts 22 times longer than a traditional pencil and won’t break if dropped. The unique design is flat on one side so there is no rolling.
The pencil is attached to a backing card with a sketch of Seattle Art Museum’s original location built in 1933 by architect Carl Gould. The beautiful art deco style is still a remarkable place to look at art. Now housing SAM’s collection of Asian art, it is located in Volunteer Park which was designed by John Olmstead.
Pencil is printed with a slice of the art deco patterns on the façade of the Seattle Asian Art Museum.
