SAAM Retro T-Shirt

Looking back at the history of the Seattle Asian Art Museum in Volunteer Park, this T-shirt shows an image from the SAM archives of the original Art Deco building designed by architect Carl F. Gould in 1933. 

The SAAM building once housed the original Seattle Art Museum and today features our extensive collection of Asian art.  A historic gem of the Art Deco era, the building was recently renovated and is located in Seattle’s Volunteer Park which was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead.
